Our community of faculty, staff, postdoctoral scholars, graduate students, and undergraduate students have a proud tradition of exploring, experimenting, collaborating and sharing new findings and advances.

The human element includes you–our accomplished alumni, who both set the precedent for today’s activities and provide guidance and support for tomorrow’s accomplishments, as well as friends of the department who help make our work possible.

• stipends for summer undergraduate research experiences
• building community among students, faculty, staff, and alumni
• innovative curriculum development
• seed funding for interdisciplinary research projects
