Cheer Like Pat for Michigan Kinesiology

Everyone who’s met Pat Muthart (PE ‘79) knows where she went to school.

She’s the person who, after the Wolverines win the college football national championship in 2024, wears a Michigan shirt every day for almost a month. She’s the person who’s still close with college friends more than four decades after graduation, even though she lives 1,000-plus miles from Ann Arbor. She's the person who, after retiring from a career of coaching cheer and teaching PE, shows right back up at school to volunteer with her cheer team.

And she’s the person who’s been giving $5-$10 a month to the U-M School of Kinesiology for 33 straight years.

“It hasn't been much,” she says of her gifts to Kines, “but it's a little something every month. And you know, if everybody did that, oh my gosh, what a difference that would make.”

The School of Kinesiology might look different than it did when Pat was a student here, but the support of our alumni remains the same. Consistency, dedication, and commitment to community - all values that have kept pushing Michigan Kinesiology forward through every decade. We could not be here without Pat, and we could not be here without you.
