About

At the U-M Department of Industrial and Operations Engineering (IOE), we empower our students to design solutions that improve the lives of everyday people. This Giving Blueday, we’re asking our IOE community of alums, staff, faculty, parents and friends to rally behind us and invest in the next generation of IOE problem solvers.

No matter the size, your gift makes a difference. Join us in shaping the future of IOE and ensuring our students have the resources to thrive. Thank you for being part of our community!

All gifts to the IOE Impact Fund will be matched dollar for dollar up to $10,000, thanks to a generous group of IOE alumni.

About the IOE Impact Fund

The IOE Impact Fund supports all IOE students. Here are just a few things this fund has supported in the past:

  • Student critical needs.
  • Student travel to conferences like the IISE, INFORMS and HFES annual meetings.
  • Experiential learning experiences such as a class visit to the Henry Ford Museum and Rogue Factory for IOE 425 students.
  • Events to foster community building. One of the most attended was the IOE welcome back to school donut day.
  • Support for the undergraduate research symposium, which features projects from over 20 students.
  • Student organization meetings and events like the annual IISE department dinner, which hosts IOE faculty, staff and students for a night of conversation, food and networking.
