Wolverine Pathways (WP) provides year-round college preparation for students in grades 7-12, helping remove academic, social, and financial barriers to success.
Here’s what Kendall, a WP scholar, said about her experience: “Wolverine Pathways was more than just a scholarship program, it was the foundation that made my future possible. Before Wolverine Pathways, the idea of attending the University of Michigan felt out of reach. College wasn’t just a financial burden; it was a dream that seemed too far away. But Wolverine Pathways didn’t just remove the financial barriers, it provided me with a community, a support system, and the confidence to pursue opportunities I never imagined for myself.”
How does your donation help?
- $25 sends a scholar on an enriching educational field trip.
- $50 provides a year of academic school supplies for one scholar.
- $100 supports a scholar’s 2-night campus stay so they can imagine what their college journey could be.
- $250 provides a middle schooler summer instruction in math, English language arts, and science.
- $500 connects one scholar with personalized advising support.
- $1,000 gives 50 scholars the opportunity to experience a U-M Campus Visit.
Last year, WP served 515 scholars from Detroit, Southfield, Ypsilanti, and partner schools in Grand Rapids through academic enrichment, college advising, SAT prep, success coaching, and more. When WP scholars are admitted to U-M Ann Arbor or Dearborn, they earn a four-year tuition scholarship.
