who may not have the financial resources to pursue their education otherwise.

Tendaji Ganges oversaw the Office of Educational Opportunity Initiatives at UM-Flint. The Tendaji W. Ganges Scholarship, an endowed scholarship fund, exemplifies Tendaji's dedication to underserved populations, including students participating in the Educational Opportunity Initiatives program and Flint Community Schools and Genesee County graduates.

Debuted in 2015 by former UM-Flint Chancellor Sue Borrego, the Chancellor's Scholars Program aims to provide full-ride scholarships to the top five percent of Genesee County high school graduates.

The Ken Heiser Endowed Memorial Fund supports UM-Flint student employees in an effort to honor its namesake's long history of hiring and mentoring students. Ken was an Assistant Director with Information Technology Services and made numerous contributions to the campus. Upon Ken's passing in 2021, his coworkers and family created a fund to continue his legacy.
