Spectrum Center strives to provide students with the tools and resources that will allow them to flourish.
We know students of all sexualities and genders face unique challenges in their pursuit of post-secondary education. Our goal is to meet these challenges and support their wellbeing, belonging, and success. A gift made to Spectrum Center’s general gift fund on Giving Blueday will be dedicated to our student project grants and essential needs grants, two programs doing exactly that.
Contributions in any amount will help support students:
- experiencing extraordinary and unexpected temporary financial hardship due to their gender and/or sexuality, and'
- conduct projects aimed at improving campus climate for students of all genders and sexualities.
Funds are disbursed at the discretion of Spectrum Center, with no terms of repayment, and may be awarded for purposes such as:
- Financial assistance when a student loses financial support from family or guardians due to their gender or sexuality
- Unexpected medical expenses or fees related to gender or sexuality
- Co-curricular event hosting and supplies'
- Student organization initiatives
Please join us in making a difference by supporting Spectrum Center today!
Please note: Contributions added to an existing endowed fund, and distributions from the Fund will be made in accordance with the University’s then existing endowment distribution policy and used and administered as provided in the documents establishing the Fund.
