Since 2011 the University of Michigan Collegiate Recovery Program (CRP) has been supporting students who are in recovery while breaking down stigma around substance use disorders and recovery across campus.
The Collegiate Recovery Program stands as a beacon of hope and transformation for students who are in recovery. This program embodies our commitment to providing holistic, tailored support to our Wolverines, ensuring they have the tools and resources they need to thrive academically and personally. At its core, CRP is dedicated to fostering a supportive community where students in recovery can pursue academic success while embracing a genuine college experience free from the influence of alcohol and drugs. The Collegiate Recovery Program creates opportunities for students to form recovery affirming relationships, build resilience to manage the ups and downs of life, make thoughtful choices, find meaning and purpose in their lives and have sober fun.
A dangerous myth persists on college campuses that one cannot grapple with alcoholism. The reality is that approximately 10% of individuals have a predisposition for alcoholism, and college often serves as the crucible where these struggles are discovered. When you choose to support CRP, you help dispel this myth and make a lasting difference in the lives of our students, ensuring that they can pursue their dreams and aspirations while building a brighter future. The impact on our student's lives is truly profound.
