The University of Michigan Medical school has a rich tradition of leadership and advocacy. Each year, our Medical Student Council embodies that legacy through a diverse array of initiatives to promote continued excellence in medical student education and medical student financial, social, and physical wellness. We invite you to help support these initiatives through your donation.
Just a few of our annual initiatives include:
- Match Day celebrations which provide a time and place for students, families, and mentors to come together to celebrate the next leg of graduating students' professional journey.
- Our annual Fall Ball which brings together faculty and students for an evening of celebration and togetherness.
- The Gear Sale Financial Assistance Fund which provides financial aid for students who may not otherwise be able to afford the jackets commonly worn in the hospital.
- Interclass mixers which provide students an opportunity to meet peers outside of their classes, cultivating a strong sense of belonging and connectedness.
New initiatives we hope you will help us develop:
- A financial assistance fund for examination preparation materials to help provide access to study resources such as practice NBME exams for students who may otherwise be unable to afford these resources.
