As the world's largest academic social science survey and research organization, our scientific mission is threefold:
- To plan and conduct rigorous social science research
- To disseminate the findings of this research
- To train future generations of social scientists
In today’s increasingly interconnected world, discoveries are most likely to occur on the boundaries between academic disciplines. As a result, ISR’s interdisciplinary approach to social research is more important than ever in shaping the understanding of scholars, informing the decisions of leaders in the public and private sectors, and improving the lives of individuals and communities across the globe.
At ISR, you can be part of the solution to the world’s most pressing problems. Will you join us?
The ISR Next Generation Initiative fund will be used to train and support social science scholars. It is an investment in training the next generation of social science researchers who will lead the pursuit of crucial knowledge for decades to come. The program aims to provide vital financial resources and a community of peer support to promising scholars at a make-or-break time in their careers.
The Robert L. Kahn Innovation Fund supports small groups of interdisciplinary researchers who are addressing real world problems that cannot be understood within a single discipline or field.
ISR Staff Professional Development Fund
The Laurie Staples Professional Development Fund supports the education and training of staff at ISR by providing financial awards to ISR employees who are pursuing an undergraduate degree or master’s degree from an accredited institution. It honors late SRC Administrator, Laurie Staples, who was a great advocate for staff continuing their education.
