About

GIVING BLUEDAY

The Office of Culture, Community and Equity (OCCE) promotes Michigan Engineering’s strategic mission, vision and values while creating an environment that is daring, transparent and collaborative. We accomplish this through four main areas of impact: culture building, grant consulting, strategic planning and educational programming. During Giving Blueday, we direct our fundraising efforts toward our K-20 programs that invite young people to explore engineering disciplines through exciting real-world challenges. The curriculum takes a holistic approach to learning that is focused on STEM education, personal and professional development and college readiness. We invite you to be part of the impact these efforts make and help us inspire the next generation of Michigan engineers by choosing to donate to OCCE. Gifts of all sizes make a difference!

HOW YOU CAN SUPPORT OCCE PROGRAMS

Engineering OnRamp K-12 Programs: Gifts to this fund support a variety of pre-college initiatives known as Engineering OnRamp. Engineering OnRamp serves as a pathway for K-12 students to discover engineering as a profession and choose Michigan Engineering as the place where they want to prepare for their future.

Undergraduate Student Support: Gifts to this fund support a variety of initiatives which can include supplemental financial support for academic, cultural, personal and professional development of current Michigan Engineering students. Your donation helps OCCE create tools that promote and expand pathways that ensure current students become successful engineers and leaders.

ALL GIFTS, NO MATTER THE SIZE, MAKE AN IMPACT

  • $500 - 6-week Saturday STEM introduction program for one K-12 student
  • $100 - STEM program supplies for one K-12 student

OCCE, and its predecessors, the Office of Minority Engineering Programs (MEPO) and the Center for Engineering Diversity and Outreach (CEDO), have offered meaningful initiatives for current and prospective students for nearly 50 years. With your support, Michigan Engineering and OCCE will continue to drive a thriving culture for future engineers.

We encourage you to learn more about OCCE’s efforts by visiting culture.engin.umich.edu.
