U-M ME is a community of scholars driven by the desire to explore and solve society’s most critical needs in health care, energy, mobility, and more. This Giving Blueday, let us harness our collective power and prove that when we come together, we can have a lasting impact. Your gift to the Mechanical Engineering Impact Fund will support students’ experiential learning in our capstone design courses, provide students with equipment and materials, and support other critical needs of the department. Help our students and faculty as they strive to make the world work better!
The impact fund supports the education of ME students by providing valuable resources for classrooms, labs, and experiential learning opportunities.
- $50 buys 20 pairs of safety glasses for the undergraduate machine shop.
- $100 helps a student attend a regional networking event, where they can form meaningful connections for their future in mechanical engineering.

- $500 covers the registration fees for a student’s attendance at a regional or national conference.
- $1,000 offsets equipment costs in the undergraduate machine shop.

Thanks to a generous gift of $5,000 from John (MSE ME, 1967) and Karen Cameron, in combination with the generosity of an anonymous alumni donor, all gifts to Mechanical Engineering on Giving Blueday will be matched 1:1, up to $8,000.
Thank you, and Go Blue!
