Gifts to Artistic Swim contribute to...
Michigan Artistic Swimming Club is a student-run organization dedicated to fostering athletic growth, leadership development, and community building through the sport of artistic swimming. Our team consists of 20 talented athletes who work together to represent our university on a national level.
Founded in 1946, the Michigan Artistic Swimming Team is a legacy of excellence, teamwork, and sportsmanship. We aim to inspire our swimmers to excel both in and out of the water, fostering a love for the sport while promoting inclusivity for all skill levels. Our mission is to create a supportive environment where athletes can grow, learn leadership, and represent the University of Michigan with pride.
We are seeking $3,500 to support our team's upcoming season by covering air travel, lodging, ground transportation, and meals for our 20 athletes at the 5 upcoming competitions we have this season.
We have 2 teams that compete throughout the season in five competitions, including the highly anticipated USA Artistic Swimming Collegiate Nationals, which will be at Stanford, California this year! This championship allows us to compete against both varsity and club programs nationwide. Last year, we were proud to host this competition at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti Michigan, where we performed 7 different routines (in our beautiful new USA Artistic Swimming compliant team suits purchase with funds raised during this event last year) and our very own Isabella Balza was named Collegiate Athlete of the Year—a feat made possible by the dedication of our athletes and the invaluable support of our donors.
This support is critical to our team’s success right now because it allows us to focus on training and competition without the financial burden falling entirely on our athletes. We have 3 other competitions at OSU and are hosting our annual Joyce I. Lindeman Memorial meet at Canham Natatorium, Ann Arbor, MI. We plan to cover van rentals, pool rental, and meals for these competitions. Additionally, with nationals in California this year, we hope to cover air travel, hotels, and meals for our members. This would continue our work in keeping membership dues low, which helps make participation in artistic swimming more accessible to all students, regardless of their financial situation.
Your contributions will help ensure that every member of our team can compete and grow, both athletically and personally, in an environment that promotes fairness, accessibility, and excellence.
