WolverBot Kickers is a student-run robotics club at the University of Michigan, dedicated to designing and strategizing robots for the 2026 RoboCup Humanoid League. Founded in 2023, the club began as a personal project and has since evolved into a collaborative effort. Initially composed of a small group of U-M Engineering students, it has grown to approximately 35 members this academic term.WolverBot Kickers aims to develop advanced engineering skills in robotics by focusing on optimal design and strategy. Our ultimate goal is to compete in multiple RoboCup leagues and achieve success in the competition. Our strategy and firmware teams are collaborating to build the simulation robot’s control system, design the robot agents, and refine the game strategy.
Simultaneously, our hardware team is working on a bipedal humanoid robot prototype for the 2026 RoboCup Humanoid League. To qualify for this competition, we must build at least one fully functional robot. Currently, we have completed the electrical specifications and the initial CAD design for motor and motion testing. With these foundational steps in place, we are now moving on to the physical assembly of the robot components.
We are fundraising for the Michigan Engineering Fund because many of our members are engineering students and would like to support other engineering students and project teams.
