Through the BSA Diversity Scholarship, BSA aims to propel emerging engineers and scientists into recognition by financially supporting their education in the University of Michigan. The BSA Diversity Scholarship will be offered to newly committed engineering students who are People-First engineers and uphold the pillars of conscientious leadership: empathy towards diverse demographics, technical and rhetorical communication skills, and excellent ethical standing within local communities.
After securing sufficient funding to cover scholarships, BSA will inform prospective and newly admitted engineering students at the University of Michigan through both in-person and digital messaging. The scholarship application will include a written essay in which students respond to a thoughtful prompt provided by BSA and explain how it relates to them. Once the application period closes, the BSA leadership panel will review submissions and select the scholarship recipients.
