Protecting the Yearbook Archive:
We are raising funds to purchase a sturdy bookshelf to properly store Michiganensian’s historic yearbook collection. This project will preserve decades of student memories and campus history, making our collection more accessible for research, alumni, and future generations. The cost of one of these bookshelves is $3,300. So far we have raised just under $2,000 toward our $3,300 goal! Help us keep the momentum going.
The Michiganensian has been preserving the University of Michigan’s student life and history for over a century through its yearbooks. Our historic collection is currently stored in a space that lacks proper shelving, putting these valuable materials at risk of damage. This fundraising project will allow us to purchase a durable, high-quality bookshelf to safely store and organize our entire collection. By securing proper storage, we can protect decades of student memories, make the yearbooks more accessible for research and alumni, and ensure that future generations of Wolverines can explore the rich history of our campus.
