Our team is raising funds to build and fly our RC aircraft, designed for banner towing and cargo missions. We have a completed design but need additional funding to finish construction and test banner configurations for competition. Building this plane is vital to our organization’s success and our goal of placing in the top five at the AIAA DBF competition.
The team is currently fundraising to earn the resources needed to complete the construction of our aircraft. We are designing and building a remote-controlled (RC) plane capable of performing as both a banner-towing bush plane and a cargo transport aircraft. While the design phase is complete, we require additional funding to finalize the build and conduct research on optimal banner configurations and sizing to ensure success at our upcoming competition. Constructing this aircraft is critical to the continued success and growth of our student organization. Beyond developing technical and teamwork skills among members, our primary goal is to place among the top five teams at the AIAA Design/Build/Fly (DBF) competition. Achieving this milestone would not only validate our engineering efforts but also strengthen the foundation of our organization for future years.
