Supporting Students in Times of Crisis
Join the Penny W. Stamps School of Art & Design in helping to meet the needs of students facing financial emergencies.
Sudden financial emergencies can disrupt a student’s path to graduation. To meet these circumstances head on and ensure students facing hardship have access to immediate resources, alumni and friends have joined forces to support the Stamps Student Emergency Fund. Just this year, grants from this fund have made a significant impact by addressing the following needs:
- Assisted a student experiencing housing and food insecurity when family finances shifted to care for a sick relative.
- Funded a towing expense and vehicle repairs for a student so they could commute to campus and to work.
- Provided funds for a student struggling to cover medical bills incurred following a visit to the Emergency Room.
- Helped a student, who is working two jobs, to purchase glasses when their prescription changed.
Unfortunately, emergencies like these occur more often than we would anticipate, but our commitment to supporting students in times of crisis remains unwavering. Please make a gift today to build up this fund for students requiring assistance in the coming months.
Today only, you can make the impact of your gift go further. Parents of a Stamps alum have pledged to match your donation dollar for dollar. They understand the challenges that students face and believe in the power of community to uplift and empower our students.
Thank you for joining us on this important day to make a difference in the lives of students at the Stamps School. We are grateful for your support.
