About

Our team collaborates with an NGO in San Cristóbal Verapaz, Guatemala, to address the urgent need for safe cooking solutions in homes where families otherwise rely on open fires. By constructing ventilated, wood-burning stoves, we provide a sustainable solution that reduces the harmful health risks of smoke inhalation while maintaining the family's traditional cooking methods. To date, we have built eight stoves at a cost of $175 each and received overwhelmingly positive feedback from families.

The funds raised today will directly cover the material costs of six ventilated stoves. Every year, we send team members to San Cristóbal Verapaz to build these stoves onsite. Each stove represents a significant improvement in the quality of life for the families, reducing daily exposure to smoke that can take years off of life.
