Project Healthy Schools (PHS) is a University of Michigan-Community collaboration that works to improve the present and future health of Michigan’s youth. Since 2004, PHS has impacted over 150 middle schools and 140,000 students in over 50 counties across the state of Michigan. During the 2024-2025 school year, PHS is celebrating its 20th Year Anniversary. This project will allow PHS to create and implement large-scale wellness events at our partner school locations across the state, as well as bring our schools to the University of Michigan for an on-field wellness event and at the Big House.
The PHS program provides health education, environmental change, and community collaboration to over 150 schools across the state of Michigan. Our program is growing and expanding to 8 new middle schools each year. During our 20th Year Anniversary, PHS wants to support our network of schools with additional health resources and opportunities to help everyone celebrate this milestone year. The funds we collect will go directly to supporting our network of schools by engaging them with more wellness events at their middle school community and helping to support the physical and mental health of students and staff across the state. In addition, we will utilize the funds to support an on-campus wellness event at the U-M Stadium where we will invite PHS schools to gather together and participate in diverse, equitable, and inclusive physical activity stations while interacting with U-M college athletes.
We look forward to engaging with you as a new/returning donor and welcome you to join us in celebrating our 20th Anniversary of supporting school wellness across the state of Michigan!
