Nurses Deserve More Than 1%
Nurses have been named the most trusted profession for 22 years by Gallup Polls, yet the the nursing profession only receives 1% of health care donations in the United States. People not only trust nurses, but they also greatly need them. The U.S. projects a shortage of registered nurses that is expected to accelerate as the population of older adults increases and health care needs grow.
Expanding the Nursing Pipeline at the University of Michigan
To help ease the projected nursing shortage, the University of Michigan School of Nursing is expanding its undergraduate BSN class sizes and aims to double in size in the next four years. More students means more need for resources like scholarships for promising future nurses.
