About

We did it! Thank you for your generosity and for helping making the African Women's Film Festival possible!

While our Giving Tuesday campaign has ended you can still support the African Studies Center. Visit our main online giving site.

Gifts will bring to life the African Women's Film Festival at U-M in the fall of 2025, which will feature three films by up-and-coming female African filmmakers.

The film festival, put on by LSA’s African Studies Center, aims to uplift talent from Africa and expose students and the community to prominent African cinema. Donations will cover booking and travel expenses, and will provide students with the unique opportunity to connect directly with talent and African filmmakers from each film.
