During her decade of leadership, Dean Patricia Hurn has guided Michigan Nursing through challenges and achievements that will define the school for generations to come:
- Sustained top-ten national rankings through a relentless focus on academic excellence.
- Launched an online degree program, expanding access to nursing education across the country.
- Established the Healthcare Innovation Impact Program (HiiP), empowering nurse-led inventions to improve health care.
- Steered the school through the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring nursing education continued when the world needed it most.
- Led a landmark renovation of a century-old building, reimagining its spaces to build community and support the school's expanding student population.
- Successfully expanded BSN class sizes in response to growing demand for seats in our top-ranked program.
