In 2021, students in Payment 4 Placement (P4P) at U-M SSW led a nationwide effort to be compensated for their 900 hours of field work. In response, the School of Social Work partnered with P4P to start the SSW Field Fund, which provides stipends to students while they are in their field placements. SSW supports the entire educational experience of our students, and the SSW Field Fund demonstrates one way in which we remain committed to making social work education more affordable.
